Seafarers Trade Union Organization (OMK) unites Polish Seafarers working for all Shipowners operating all types of vessel worldwide. We are also open for non-Polish seafarers but living in Poland or working for certain Polish based companies.

Our Organisation has over 1500 members of all ranks from a trainee to highly experienced Seafarers from management level.

We are providing a 24/7 assistance to all our members covering a broad range of consultations regarding work related issues on board, seaman employment agreements, claims, accidents at work, outstanding wages and many other arising from the conditions of employment.

Due to the fact that Seafarers are working in all parts of the world, different time zones as well having their homes in many different locations we are focusing on a distance membership service based on on-line features. Nerveless all members are very welcomed in our Office as well during an occasional events for Seafarers.
Our members are also entitled to a financial support in respect of STCW courses and social matters. OMK is providing for all members an incapacity insurance, tax and legal advices, favourable medical coverage and many other benefits arising from various agreements with our partners.

All our members are also a members of ITF & ETF.
